    Cost is $50, or you can ask for an Affidavit of Indigency (will need notarized, courthouse can do this for $1)

    1st or 2nd degree – not eligible (some violent or sexual offences are not eligible either) 

    3rd degree 

    Sealed – must wait 3 years after final discharge 

    Expunge – must wait 13 years  

    4th or 5th degree 

    Sealed - must wait 1 year after final discharge 

    Expunge – must wait 11 years

    Legal Aid 

    Court representation 

    Escrow – rent is paid to the court and not the landlord until repairs are made or other deficits are corrected  

    Tenant must be up to date on rent 

    Tenant must provide written notice of the issue to landlord 

    Tenant must wait 30 days for landlord to fix the problem  

    File escrow application at the main court house – Help Center, Room 113 

    Pay rent to the court, Room 115
